The communication experience that I had that failed, was when I was coaching my Winter Guard team. I was teaching the girls how to do this jump/leap combo that goes into the ground and ends in the splits. And they could not figure it out at all. And it was really getting annoying. So I started yelling at them telling them that they needed to do it right then and correctly. And I showed the combination several times doing a couple of runs. And some of the girls got it but some of them did not still understand. So I told them to work on it for a couple of minutes and let them take a break. But once we got back some of them completely forgot the whole thing, so I yelled at them for a couple of minutes. And then a couple of girls started to cry and then I felt bad. Some of them just didn’t understand how to do any of the moves because they were not ever in Dance until this year and never did anything like it before in their lives. So I felt really bad and we had to change the whole dance because they still didn’t get it after we continued to work on it. But I dumbed it down and changed the whole thing. But then I got the girls who liked the first dance mad at me and the girls who couldn’t accomplish the first dance I taught. So we had to talk it all threw in a circle. And they got over it.

Purpose: To teach the guard girls how to do a dance combination.
Audience: My audience was the girls that I was teaching. Some of my audience was the girls that didn’t know how to dance. Some of them were the girls that could dances correctly.
Context: I should have realized how many girls had not done dance before and who were emotionally unstable with being yelled at so much. It may have been better to let the girls sit a little longer and maybe take it home and come back the next day to then see how much they had practiced it and figured it out.
Strategies: I shouldn’t have made their combination so hard in the first place to make sure that all of them could accomplish it. I should have maybe split them up into smaller groups and done different dances that would make sure that all of their needs and strengths were being met and exceeded.
Medium: The medium of the situation was face-to-face. Because I was teaching them how to do a combination.
Arrangement: I could have had the girls watch videos of themselves doing the combination or having them learn the steps in a different way than face-to-face. Shown each individual step in a video. I could have also not have changed so much of the dance so that the other girls did not get so mad at me at the end. I also could have not have yelled as much at them and maybe  sent out a global text message telling them all of the things that they need to accomplish before they got back to the next practice.
Test: I could have taught the dance to my little sister beforehand to make sure that the combination was not too hard for them to accomplish. I could have also figured out more than one way to do the dance.

I could have not have yelled at the girls so much and realized that some of them were not as skilled as others with dancing. I also would have not made some of them cry. I would have split them up into groups to make sure that they all understood how to dance and the skills that they had to make sure that they all had dance work that would in the end make them look good. I could have tried the original dance out with my little sitter. Also I could have made other dances.

Tuition Increase
 
My purpose would be that it would affect me financially and it would make me not able to attend that college anymore. By adding this additional tuition I would expect the school to be giving more options for different classes and adding in different activities around the school. Making sure that the school was not using my money to make sure that they were not giving their pay checks more money

My purpose for the school, I would say that adding more money to the tuition would lower the amount of students that would be attending the school in the future. It would also lower the amount of students that would stay in the dorms because they would be having a harder time paying for both. I would as well tell them that because of student rate dropping it would end the university from being called a university because you have to have a certain amount to be called a university.

My purpose for future students, I would say that this would make them not want to come to the college. It would also make sure that if they really wanted to attend the college then they would know how much debt they would end up with after graduating from the school. With the drop of student population it would make future students not want to come to the school.

When I read the pointless crime bill in Autumn I noticed that not one single page out of the 412 pages was there anything that would have protected others and myself from ever getting stabbed, beaten, killed again. This is hopefully very obvious to everyone, that the crime bill has nothing that would have helped protect us. Not increased the prison terms, not even three strikes you’re out rule. Not even deporting people that are criminal aliens. How are the criminals supposed to know not to harm anyone when they can walk away free after almost killing someone. I don’t understand what the point of the stupid Crime Bill is, but it won’t protect anyone form ever getting hurt like Anna, Martin and I d­­­­id.
They thought it was very compelling.

I think this is a good median to sell this book, because many would only know about the book from online and keeping it in the same area would make sense. I don’t think that the media would be unfamiliar, because the only way that the people really heard or seen pictures of the book is if it was on the website. So keeping it on the internet makes perfect sense to those people. This shows a little closeness with the people because it shows pictures about food and families. And everyone has had food and at one point hopefully everyone has had a family. So people can relate to what the website is showing the audience to make them want to go and buy the book. I think that selling it on the internet works well because it always seemed to me that the thing that you buy on the internet is cheaper than buying it in a book store. So selling it online will at least give it a better chance to be sold and if you want people stop and look then put them in stores as well. Yes, because there are many thing that are only sold online and they work fine and get to you easily. It just depends on how people go with it and if it really works for their product. Selling it by where they are showing the book helps people want them to know more and buy the book.

What I think that interests me the most is children and mental illnesses with children. How they get the mental illness, how they can get rid of the mental illness, what are the different types of illnesses. I think that this interests me because l love working with children and since I am becoming a nurse I would love to work with either babies or children with either cancer or other illnesses. I always loved children and I have grown up taking care of my family member’s children. So when it comes to taking care of children and learning how they develop and get illnesses , makes me want to know how they get them and how to cure them. I would also like to know what other cancers or diseases are the most common in children and how doctors and nurses take care of those children and how they are able to cure them. Therefore, I think either cancer/diseases or mental illnesses of children is something that I am very interested in learning. Because I hate seeing children that are sick. Another thing that I would maybe interested in would be how the babies die in their sleep. Mostly why they die in their sleep and if there are ways to make sure that doesn’t happen to other babies or if it is just something that naturally happens and there is no way to make that not happen. I don’t know why I want to know these thing but they interest me and plus I want to work with those children. Mostly because I love kids and think that children are the future of the world and if they grow up correctly then they should be able to not make stupid decisions that could kill themselves.
I think that a lot of people care about children and the wellbeing of children. I think they would be heartless if they did not care. Then that is when you get the child abuse and pedophiles. However, most people I think care a lot about children. Especially the people who have children or family members that are children. I think that you have to be a little not right in the head to not care about children and their wellbeing. Then those people should not have children in the future. I think many people care to know or are at least a little interested in the subject of mental illnesses or cancer/disease, because people want to know if there is a chance that they could have that. People want to make sure that there is no chance that they could die of young age. People want to live longer, with a brain full of memories and not a veggie that is laying out to dry. So if there was any reason that they could have any issues they would want to know a head of time. 
I still want to do a topic on mental illnesses of children and how they get the illness and how they can overcome it. However, I do not know which one. I might pick and illnesses like Down syndrome. Because people do not really know  how is comes within a child during birth and how some time to really overcome being a parent and how they should make their child grow up so they can live on their own with only some help and not constant taking over the parent lives. I also think that is not common for children to know would also be very interesting to research about. Like the illnesses, that not many have but there is always that chance. Schizophrenia is also a mental illness that would be interesting to learn about. Like how can one get this, how can they overcome the illness. What are the causes, treatment, symptoms that this child would have. I think that if they can take care of it as a child than it will help them in the future when they are adults. Autism would be another interesting topic to think about doing for the research project. All of these mental Illnesses are always so interesting to learn about.
Google Search: I did a google search about down syndrome and thought that was very interesting. How it Is a illness that happens even before the heart eat inside the womb. In addition, the mother gets older she has a more chance of producing a baby with down syndrome. I looked up autism and did not really fin much on children. I also looked up schizophrenia and again did not find much that went along with children.
Picture: when looking at my three ideas I found more picture that went with Down syndrome than with any other illness. Mostly I think because it does have characteristic within the face of some children.
Others: My mom works with special ed children and she would take me to her classroom sometimes to meet the children and I think that I have always wanted to know more about the mental illnesses, but right now Down Syndrome is really interesting to me.
YouTube: there are many videos that I can look at that pertains to down syndrome that are used for documentary’s and also for information for parents that want to know more about how to raise their child.

I think the initial purpose of the photo essay was to describe all of the harsh treatment that that the African Americans went through in the south and how they are still shown or not shown in life today. I think she did this because it was a different time in Americans lives and to see how it still shapes us today. I see a lot of use of pathos when she talks, because it is a lot about killing people and how these people were dead and no one really knows. I saw many logos because she knew all of her facts about each of the pictures. The pictures all visibly look run down and like no; one has taken care of anything in a while. I think that is a good strategy because it also touches people’s emotions knowing that no one cares about what happened in the past. She emphasizes all of those strategies to make people think about her subject and to feel something about it, when reading and looking at the photos. She uses ethos when talking about where everything is and making sure that she had the places all labeled out.  I think that she use captions to help people understand why she put those pictures, without the captions no one would understand what she was talking about in the first place and the logos, ethos, and part of pathos would be gone. The captions encourage the reader because they make us want to know more about what is going on in the photo and maybe later looking up more about what is going on in each of those areas in Mississippi. The captions would probably not be needed for someone who has grown up in those areas, a history buff who has already been there or learned about it. In addition, anyone from back in the days when they lived through those times.

Down syndrome
The purpose of the Photo Essay is to show what Down syndrome students do in class. The audience can be teachers, students that want to know more about Down syndrome, and parents with young children with Down syndrome. The context of the photo essay will use pathos, ethos, and logos. Pathos will be used in the fact that it is children that the school is dealing with. The audience will see how the children learn how the children interact with the school and learn how to grow up in life learning basic. Ethos will be used because the pictures are actually from a school. Logos, because I will put in captions on how the rooms and areas in the classroom are actually effective. I want the audience to understand what the Down syndrome children go through every day of school. I hope to start the audience with how the students start their day off in the classroom. By the end of the photo essay, the reader will see how the students work with the kitchen. All of the accomplishments that the students get at school will help them succeed in the future. When these kids learn all of the life skills that they learn in the class room they are able to live somewhat on their own and maybe handle some sort of job. This photo essay will teach the reader that there are many opportunities for children with down syndrome to achieve their goals in life, and that parents of those children will make sure that they will not have to always take care of them for the rest of their lives.
